First Prayer
Tonight Rebekah tried to say a prayer at FHE. While she was simply repeating what Mommy was saying, she was making sounds and even said, "Thank you." She has started saying a few more phrases, but isn't putting two words together yet. Hopefully soon! She is however trying to be like Isaac. She imitates his moves at the table and is never too far behind when he comes racing in as a dog.

Birthday Came and Went
Rebekah is officailly 2 years old now. It has been almost a month now, WOW! Our little princess sure does get hurt a lot. Nothing major lately, but she is always in need of a bandaid =) She is counting to 2, can point to a few colors, but calls them all orange or purple, she is using the potty regularly with few accidents. She is even dry in the morning. She is a great eater and loves to help!!! She even tries to help Mommy wash Isaac in the tub. She loves to sing, sing, sing. Rebekah is growing up so much that she even lets Mommy do singing time in the nursery and then leave again without crying. Like her brother, she grew an entire inch during the month of June. Her favorite toys are dolls, Care Bears, and books.

2-4-13
Is this Rebekah's new locker combination? Nope! It is the number on inches-internal-external stitches she received Wednesday night. Rebekah fell off the top bunk of Isaac's bed and hit her forehead on a drawer for toys that was out. The 911 people were very nice, Isaac was beyond a trooper, and Mommy managed to only start crying hysterically about 2 or 3 times. The cut, or laceration if we want to feel better about calling 911, is two inches long right at her hair line. So, even if there is a scar, it will disappear into the hair very quickly. She is handling everything quit well. While, the ladder to get onto the bunk bed is relocated, Rebekah still went towards it yesterday and she also enjoyed playing doctor with the pretend shots. Which is funny since she didn't enjoy the shots she received at all!!! So what have we learned? NO bunk beds, or realistically, keep the ladder up during the day, little children shouldn't play on bunk beds (this we knew and weren't paying attention to), and the second child can sometimes get way more owies than the first =) A dear friend informed us that we are now official members of the head trauma club. We are hoping to just be one time visitors.

Month of Firsts
This month Rebekah stayed the night with Daddy and Isaac while Mommy was at Bama's House. Was this a bigger step for Mommy or Rebekah?

Owies!
You would think that since Rebekah is a girl she would be the child without owies. Isaac had his share of bumps and bruises, but never had that constant need for a band aid since he never bled. Miss Rebekah has had a serious burn (next time mommy takes her to the doctor), bleeding cuts and scraps, and bruises galore. We have to put owie medicine on everyday (even when life is good) and band aids all the time. And not just one band aid. If one elbow is hurt, both need band aids. Good thing I bought stock in the Dollar Tree =)

Sings and Counts
Rebekah does not beat to her own drum, she sings to her own drum. She sings all day long. What, we are not sure, but she sings. Tunes that have been recognized are Twinkle, Twinkle, Row, Row, Row Your Boat, Teach Me to Walk, and Baa, Baa Black Sheep. When she is not singing, she is counting, 'wu, wu, wu...wu'. Isaac gets annoyed. "Rebekah it is not one, one, one... it is one, two , three, four..." Rebekah smiles and politely responds with 'wu, wu, wu.....' with an occasional 'wuoo' for two.

All About Me
I am almost 2 years old! I love 'wo-wos' (dogs) and to swing. I love to sit on Isaac's bed, play dress, sing, take a bath, read books, and explore. I get sad when mommy won't let me take my babies into the bathtub, but I get happy when she lets me use special body paint for the bathtub! Every night before I go to bed, I like to call my daddy on the phone and tell him good night.
